This is an emulation of the string sounds heard on the Oxygene and Equinoxe albums by Jean-Michel Jarre.

This is my second attempt of emulating the signature string sound of the Eminent 310 Unique made famous by Jean-Michel Jarre. Please read the note in the Poly Grid patch. Suggestions and comments are very welcome.

My additive sine organ built wholly in the Grid.

This is still kind of a work in progress but I really like the sounds I"m getting out of it. Aiming for a slightly wonky transistor organ sound.

Similar to a single Reaktor Polyplex. Supply a multisample in the FX position to get started Hit Load to load patch. To randomize, right click the Steps, go to generate and randomize Include/Exclude whatever parameters you like and provide a range for randomization. Dial in manual parameters where you want.

This patch is a drum sample randomiser with patch storage. Drop in a multisample, edit the Step module in the PolyGrid, and hit the Load trigger to apply. There are Toggles on each parameter if you don't want them randomised. 8 parameters: Pitch, Start, Attack, Decay, Tilt (eq), Volume, Pan, and Note (Sample)

I used 5.1's new voice stacking capabilities and a few other tricks to make a reasonable approximation of the JP8000 supersaw using Adam Szabo's thesis paper (https://www.adamszabo.com/internet/adam_szabo_how_to_emulate_the_super_saw.pdf). Mostly experimenting with stuff, but it sounds pretty decent.

You can use this preset as an alternative for the usual metronome. Maybe you find it useful. Initially it plays only a hihat sound but you can also add some kick and clap if you want.

This Grid patch allows you to record controller movement in sync with the tempo. This is something similar to the voltera module in the Eurorack. Instructions in the comment

Example patch using drawable OSC and LFO techniques, explore, learn and improve on it, or just use as is! I've used WolfShaper plugin as shaper for demonstration, it's free (find on Github), but you can also use MWaveShaper if you want in it's place, look at notes in the patch for more details.

Example patch that makes use of waveshapers (which can behave like MSEG) to create custom OSC and LFO shapes and apply them polyphonically in Poly Grid. Beware - this technique can be a bit CPU intense. Fun with PolyGrid. A digital sounding harpsichord-like plucked sound with a lot of modulation. Quite pleasant. I included the delay that I like in there, but feel free to go into FX and turn that off and put your own creative delays after this sound.

A recreation of the CS-80's "peculiar" oscillator section, which consists of a sawtooth core as well as an added pulse train to cover the rising edge section the sawtooth. The other waveforms are shaped from this sawtooth core as they would in the oscillator circuitry, going saw -> triangle -> sine. As a result, the saw has extra harmonics, the triangle sounds just extra square-y, and the sine wave has lots of additional harmonics while still sounding like a sine wave.

A recreation of the oscillator present in the CS-80. Following http://joachim.milson.free.fr/cs80-interactive-diagram/master-boards.html, I've implemented the sawtooth core of the CS-80 with the added pulse to cover up the rising edge of the sawtooth generator, and then the triangle and sine waves with waveshaping. The result is that the triangle wave shape inherits the square pulse within it, and sounds rather unique, and the sine wave, while sounding like one, has overtones and also inherits the square pulse, making it harsher than a pure tone would. I did not add the high-pass filter section of the oscillator, and added subtle saturation (simulating driving the voltage followers) as well as chorus in the FX section.

<@360540101853446165> hera ya go. for the uninitiated, it's a kick generation tool made in the grid. it uses 4 sample layers, a noise layer, and a noise transient going through filters with most parameters linked to dices which are linked to sub group triggers, which are linked to a master trigger, meaning you can either press one button to randomize everything, or press one trigger and randomize only the pitch envelopes, filter positions, sample pitches, etc., etc. by only clicking the corresponding trigger group.

A fully generative patch for the grid. It implements the basic Krell idea: an envelope that retriggers itself, and then wanders off into deep space. Almost entirely random, and by default not even quantized to pitch (there's a macro button for that, esp. if you want to send notes out to another synth). Do replace the stock FX with your favorite delays and reverbs.

A "Krel"l patch for the grid: couldn’t find a proper implementation, so I tried making my own. Fully generative, takes the basic Krell idea (an envelope that retriggers itself), and wanders off into deep space. Almost entirely random. Pitch is random, too, and not quantized in any manner, because hey, space music 😊 I like it this way, but adjust to taste. (There's a macro button to quantize by semitones, helpful if you want to send notes out to another synth). Do replace the stock FX with your favorite delays and reverbs. (My choices: AudioThing OuterSpace, Valhalla Vintage Verb) It's a total space-out, sometimes reminds me of Beaubourg by Vangelis, which I've always loved. It’s really amenable to all kinds of FX (tape delays, granular, noises, wobbles, and totally try it with a ring mod.). I've been listening to it for 3 days now and haven’t had enough, but ymmv.

So, i've kinda recreated Dawesome Chop Suey into the Grid, it produces nice results so far. It can adjust. The patch it's almost in it's entirety self explanatory. Hope you like it!

I keep trying to get the perfect Roland saw pad sound out of the Grid, really liked how this preset sounds. This time I made a couple of wavetables from two Roland SH-1000 samples (just the saw sound with the filter wide open) and it really sounds better than the stock saw oscillator (for this purpose).

Was messing around with the Delay+ blur modes, and made a one note supersaw chord patch. With some chords and supersaws some of those Delay+ settings seem to turn everything into an instant trance classic. This is a Shepperd Tone generator and its default patch. This provide the classic endless rising or falling tone.

Shepperd Tone Generator: The endless rising / falling tone. Bandwidth set the interval between each sine and also the interval between the sweep start & stop frequencies. The speed simply sets the sweep rate. At fastest rate or at low bandwidth, the "endless" tone fx dissapear and you start to distinguish AM/FM kind of sounds.

An 8 oscillator synth i think? (7 main osc, 1 sub, 1 noise) It's pretty simple, every osc has it's own adsr and Volume and Pan, and are divided into 2 groups, which also have Volume and Pan controls: - Basic Osc (Pulse, Saw, Sine, Triangle) - Special Osc (Wavetable, Phase1, Swarm) Also features a filter (Controllable in Performance Tab) Post Master Mixer and Pre Master ADSR. Everything is controllable in the Modulator tab of the synth. (Mainly Macro-4 and ADSR) to make it the most front end possible.

Version 2 of my formant synthesis patch. Cleaned up some stuff and added a 'darken' knob, which will shift down the overall characteristics of the formant (somewhat like a formant shift but also a bit sounding like an eq).

OK, so here is my shot at extending <@!118550747137835008> 's grid to note. I added: 1. legato playing 2. pitch bend support 3. MPE support for pressure and timbre. Pressure can't be directly sent to a device though because of the way it is implemented in MIDI. (Please bitwig... give us access to pitchbend and pressure generators so we can do cool stuff with them.) You can use pressure in the grid patch itself to do things with pitch (make a pressure sensitive pitch LFO) or to map pressure to timbre (which can be sent to a MPE VST as it is a normal cc) and things like that. 4. This is ready to be used polyphonically -- make an instrument selector with a bunch of these and set to free robin, then go into each layer and change the MIDI mapping setting so that they map to MIDI channels 2-16 (as many as you need) then route the output of the whole rack to a single VST and it should work.

After I saw another video using bazzISM I played again with kick drums in the grid:

A dampened comb synth created in the Grid - open for information and to customize the sound. Bonus string-ensemble sound included.

Finally had a second to clean this up - this is a dampened comb synth, similar to the Comb oscillator in Zebra 2, if people are familiar with that. Default settings are a string-pluck sound, and a string-ensemble sound is included inside the patch with a toggle.

First time using the polygrid wavetable. Processed a sample of a aluminum can being crushed in Synthesis Technology's WaveEdit (which turns out to be excellent especially for a free application). Super simple, but it sounds kinda nice. Requires BWS 3.3 beta minimum.

This is a tool to activate other running audio lanes, this lanes must be muted to run properly.

I made a preset based on sample slicing, it quantises the values so assuming that the loop has a sensible division, everything will be in sync. and instead of the randomizer has bars where you can draw the steps... Drawing a random pattern is almost as fast as pressing a button, and there is no need for the lock buttons.

Introducing RAND-O-TRON-3000, the next logical progression to my RHYTHMIQUE preset. Now you can take the effort out of picking which sample snippets you'd like to be on each step of your dope ass motherfucking drum beat. 1. Simply load a sample into it, hit the RANDOMISE button. 2. Lock any of the steps you like with the corresponding LOCK button. 3. RANDOMISE again. 4. Lock any steps you like again... And so forth... P.s. You can also turn steps off in the same way as in RHYTHMIQUE

This is a 16 step sample reararranger used to create Microhouse drum patterns from any sample you load into it. Using the individual and group step selector knobs, you can choose what snippet of the sample to assign to each step or step group (downbeat kick, offbeat hat, clap and the 4 weak beats). You can turn steps on or off with the buttons and minimally affect the decay of the hits. Works BEST with the Groove settings on for that rolling Microhousey vibe.

Really proud of this unusual drum sampler for the Grid! Great for making Villalobos style drum patterns 🙂

*this* one is something I use all the time, but it's not terribly complicated. just a nice low bass with a cool timbre.

this one is for making chaotic background noise, something I need a lot of for soundscape-building. It can also make some these really cool foghorn noises sometimes but mostly it's just textures.

this one is for making loud leads. think electric guitar, supersaws, etc. click a button and it makes a nice sound for you. pretty wide range of things can come out of this one.

See notes inside the patch for instructions on how to use. This is a tool for semi-automated sample slicing to notes. Drop sample into Sampler in Grid's FX chain, then use Remote contorls to scan for slices. Scan button in ON state - detected slices applied, OFF state - erase slice data. with every new sample you need to erase and rescan.

Bitwig's homebrew 'Simpler'. Scan and slice samples using this device with automapping to notes. See notes inside for more details.

Set Top and Bottom of any MIDI note range, and all RAW or DATA pitches will wrap into this range. Works only inside the Grid, on Oscillator modules. (Until we finally get a proper Pitch Grid device.)

You can specify any range of notes that is at least 12-semitones or larger (even spanning multiple octaves), and all Pitch Input (or data-driven pitches) will wrap into that range. Works with any arbitrary note range (at least 12 semitones wide), instead of the wrap being limited to whole octaves of C. NOTE: Works only *inside* the Grid for now. No way to get MIDI note data *out* of the Grid until Bitwig finally gives us some type of Note Grid device in the future.

I recreated the Moog DFAM in the Grid. Several control panels in the plugin macro controls, but for sequences you have to go into the Grid itself. It will require a bit of tinkering to figure out who does what in it, but have fun. Feel free to improve!

This is my first post so kind of experiment: Dances with EQ - trick learned from Polarity to use the EQ+ with the Keytrack mod, but additionally made the peaks dance on an LFO, is better if you have aftertouch expression.

A 48-partial additive saw wave where you can set the ratio of each partial easily. Because you might want to create microtonal basslines and turn some partial off or retune them. Now with arrays & partial amplitude morphing. Will kill any CPU. Treat it like a modular HW synth: get a sound, bounce & deactivate:D

Kicker 3.0 [Kick Generator Grid Patch] **Updates for version 3** - Keytracking can now be toggled on or off via the remote control page "Master 2", with keytracking disabled you can tune the kick via the tuning macro (in the master section). Tuning is done by semitones, default tuning with the keytracking disabled is a low F note, since F is the most common root note in EDM/electronic music. - Slight Improvements in the dynamic saturator in the FX section, also the controls for that have been mapped to a remote control page in the main Poly Grid device. - Internal distortion in the grid patch can now be disabled, or pushed harder/reduced via the "Distortion Ctrl" Macro.

Kicker v2 update notes: changed the generator from a keytracking mode to manual (non-keytracked) tuning. Default setting is tuned to a low F. This will make it usable in a drum rack. Modified the Saturator to be dynamic, basically only saturating the transient for extra punch, leaving the tail nice and clean. Enjoy!
