Bitwiggers - Presets

A frequent topic of discussion in Bitwig-related channels is that sharing presets is a common but unmet need by the users. Presets are attached to forum posts, shared as Dropbox links, or whatever the sharer is familiar with, and the result is that it's hard to find any of them unless you're actively participating. I hope this changes that.

Polarity Blog: This is how you make the Bitwig Reverb better!

Fri, 03 Jan 2020 15:53:49 GMT

I've often read that some people don't really like the Bitwig Reverb and resort to external solutions or VST effects. But that doesn't have to be the case. The Bitwig Reverb is kept simple on purpose. In Bitwig's ecosystem this makes sense. Here the devices have to be combined in order to get their finishing touches. If you look at documentaries on artificial reverb devices, you will quickly come …

/r/bitwig: Bitwig beginner - connecting my keyboard

Fri, 03 Jul 2020 03:00:00 GMT

Hi! Total Bitwig noob here, trying to teach myself over the uni holidays. I just purchased a MIDI to USB cable to start inputting data to Bitwig through my old Yamaha (which I think is a CVP-94 or -92 if it's relevant). However I can't seem to make it work? I've connected the out cable to the in port and vice versa as the Internet seems to suggest. I've also added a "Generic MIDI keyboard" to the …

KVR: Re: Oh that sweet Bitwig UI...

Just about any UI is more inspiring than Reaper’s. Liked Bitwig 1.x, but from there on in, not so much. Beautiful to look at though.Statistics: Posted by jonljacobi — Fri Jul 03, 2020 12:28 am

Recently changed to Bitwig after more than a decade with Reaper and the improvement through using a coherent musically driven design (interface and functionality) is immediate and much greater than I expectedStatistics: Posted by fairlyclose — Thu Jul 02, 2020 10:50 pm

KVR: Re: Sampler ping-pong loop goes slightly flat in reverse

Thu, 02 Jul 2020 20:15:45 GMT

If the sample is of an acoustic instrument, it makes plenty of sense that the tail end of the sample would be flatter than the front end.Statistics: Posted by ihearanewworld — Thu Jul 02, 2020 8:15 pm

/r/bitwig: Scroll locks at bar 9

Thu, 02 Jul 2020 20:02:48 GMT

dont know why but every now and then the scroll bar gets stuck and I cant zoom in before bar 9. Even in the export menu BW indicates the arrangement starts at bar 9. Is there anyone else that runs into this? I am running the latest version, and I thought they would have fixed this by now as I have ran into this in previous versions. Only way I can remedy this is by closing my session and re openin…
