Polarity Blog: This is how you make the Bitwig Reverb better!

Fri, 03 Jan 2020 15:53:49 GMT

I've often read that some people don't really like the Bitwig Reverb and resort to external solutions or VST effects. But that doesn't have to be the case. The Bitwig Reverb is kept simple on purpose. In Bitwig's ecosystem this makes sense. Here the devices have to be combined in order to get their finishing touches. If you look at documentaries on artificial reverb devices, you will quickly come …

When I connect the guitar processor (Headrush pedalboard (44Hz)) and play live or record it doesn’t matter, I put the sample rate 128 crackles begin, ok, I put the auto sample rate Bitwig(44hz) sets 256 and all the same after 10-20 minutes crackles and clicks begin. CPU load 10-20% MAX. In this case, the project is empty. Only one track audio. For the sake of the experiment, …

Hi, I have a weird problem with my usb midi setup in Bitwig with Windows 10. It seems it cannot connect more than 2 usb midi controllers at a time. Usually the last 2 things plugged in will work and any before will stop working. Each device works fine on its own and if I only plug in 2 then it works no problem, but introduce a 3rd usb midi device and the 1st one will stop working. I thought it was…

/r/bitwig: Is it possible to cut/paste/drag automation horizontally?

Thu, 16 Jan 2020 01:25:47 GMT

I have noticed that when I move patterns around in bitwig, sometimes the automation moves with it. Sometimes I want this, sometimes I don't. Is there a way I can basically cut out a section of the automation and drop in the automation from another section there instead? I tried using the knife tool but all it did was make points in the automation lanes. [link] [comments]

/r/bitwig: I am REALLY confused - Can anyone help

Wed, 15 Jan 2020 21:29:44 GMT

So I'm trying to sequence a song I wrote (tracked out with stems) for live performance. I have split the song up into about 20 sections, each the same length and put each section into the clip launcher as a scene. Some sections are 4 bars and some 8 bars, I set the 4 bar ones to 4 and 8 bar ones to 8 in the "Launch Q" option. So here is where I'm flummoxed. I'm playing back various scenes (not ind…

/r/bitwig: Random on percussion speed for variations on a basic sound.

Tue, 14 Jan 2020 00:49:35 GMT

Clone your clap track (sampler containing a clap wave file). Add a random module, free running, with a rate of several hertz. Set speed on the sampler to 0%. Set the Random to modulate the sampler speed by 100%. Make the Random bipolar. Now you have a clap track with some variation on it. Sometimes it plays at higher pitch, sometimes lower pitch and backward, etc. You can change its volume in th…

/r/bitwig: Search bar bug??

Mon, 13 Jan 2020 16:41:25 GMT

Seem to have a minor bug I am dealing with. When I go to add an audio effect to a Instrument, the search bar is already populated with an "i", and filters every plugin I have that begins with the letter "i". I can easily clear it by clicking the "x" on the right hand side of the box. Is there a reason why there would be an "i" there already? It's always there and only when I add effects. It shows …

/r/bitwig: Poly grid -- is it possible to save user "templates" of a group of modules?

Sun, 12 Jan 2020 17:03:30 GMT

Say I create a little generative step sequencer out of a few modules. Then I want to re-use it in multiple projects. It'd be nice if there were a way to save and name a group of modules to start a collection of "templates" that I could drag into new projects. submitted by /u/Thoron_Blaster [link] [comments]
